Duke of Edinburgh

When Eve first came to Underley Garden, last April, she was very reliant on using her wheelchair and would become very anxious walking small distances. The school and care team have worked very hard to support Eve to gain her confidence with her walking and in December with her care staff, she was able to complete a mile walk raising money for charity which was a fantastic achievement.  Just a few months later, Eve has now completed her silver Duke of Edinburgh award completing a 3 ½ mile walk on Day 1 and on Day 2 walked up a rocky hill on the top of Latrigg to see the amazing views.  We are all very proud of you Eve, well done!
