Fun at Blackpool Zoo!!
Classes went on an exciting trip to Blackpool Zoo! The pupils had a fun day exploring the zoo, seeing animals up close, and learning about them in a hands-on way.
We started our adventure in the Dinosaur World area. There, the pupils could see huge models of dinosaurs. It was like stepping into the past! They also explored cool fossils, which are the remains of animals from millions of years ago. The pupils were amazed by the size of the dinosaurs and had fun learning about how they lived so long ago.
Next, we visited the elephants. The pupils were excited to see these giant animals up close. They watched the elephants move around and interact with each other. It was amazing to see how gentle they were despite their huge size. The pupils talked about how elephants live in the wild and the important work being done to protect them.
One of the most exciting parts of the trip was the sea lion show. The pupils laughed and cheered as the sea lions showed off their tricks. They jumped, balanced, and even waved to the audience! The show was a fun way to learn how smart sea lions are and how they work with their trainers.
We also got to see some monkeys and giraffes. The monkeys were very playful, swinging around and interacting with each other. The pupils loved watching them climb and jump! Then, we visited the giraffes, which were so tall and graceful. The pupils were amazed by their long necks and enjoyed learning about how giraffes use their height to eat leaves from the tops of trees.
The pupils had a great time exploring the zoo. The spoke to lots of employees and discussed the different jobs needed to keep the animals safe and happy. They asked questions about the animals, looked carefully at their behaviours, and shared what they learned with each other. It was a fun way to learn about animals, their habitats, and how important it is to protect them.
The trip to Blackpool Zoo was a fun and memorable day. The pupils had a chance to see some incredible animals, from giant elephants to playful sea lions, and learn about their lives. The zoo visit made pupils more curious about animals and helped them understand why it’s so important to care for wildlife. It was a fantastic day full of fun and learning!
