Children In Need

On Friday, students and staff dressed up in bright and spotty clothes as per the SPOTacular theme, donating £1 to this amazing charity.

We learned about how other schools were fundraising for Children in Need in the country and also how celebrities were contributing, such as Vernon Kay raising more than £4m completing an Ultramarathon challenge. The highlight of the day was dancing in our whole school ‘danceathon’ which ran from 8am until 4pm. This was none stop dancing for the whole day, with participants from every class and office dancing their socks off!

Such a fantastic effort was made by everyone involved! Special shout out to the Personal Development Team for organising the event and to Jenny Ireland who danced a total of 3 hours throughout the day, to ensure there was no stoppage!! Awesome dedication to a brilliant cause!!

A grand total of £306.50 was raised though non-uniform collections and sponsorship monies collected by the young people, with one pupil raising over one hundred pound herself!!
