Autism Awareness Day

This an important event on our SMSC calendar and Underley was a sea of blue with everyone dressing up for Autism Awareness Day. Everyone was involved, enjoyed lots of activities and had fun!

Orchard School ran the Hug in a Mug Café serving homemade food and snacks, and had a party in the afternoon. As the theme is ‘super 60’ due to celebrating 60 years of Autism Awareness Day, PLK listened to 60’s music and did 60 seconds of various activities such as dancing, star jumps and the worm. MF went walking on the fells all wearing blue followed by a BBQ. LH listened to information about Autism and then made Autism Awareness logo’s.

This was a great end to the spring term which celebrated the diversity and creativity of our unique school!
