Home News & Events Safer Internet Day 2026
We marked Safer Internet Day with a wide range of engaging activities across the school, helping our young people build confidence, awareness and responsibility online.

The theme this year was ‘Smart Tech, Safe Choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’.
Pupils explored how to stay safe on the internet through interactive assemblies, PowerPoints, videos and discussions. They learned about keeping personal information private, not speaking to strangers online, accessing secure websites and understanding that not everything online is true.
Some classes focused on critical thinking in the age of Artificial Intelligence, analysing AI-generated images and discussing the pros and cons of AI. Others explored their online presence and reflected on how information online can be altered or misleading.
Interactive games such as Interland and Internet Legends allowed pupils to practise digital safety skills in a fun and engaging way, with some even earning certificates for their achievements. Storytelling and sensory activities also supported learning, including stories about not believing everything you see online and creating personal internet safety plans.
Creative activities were a highlight of the day, with pupils designing posters to promote safe internet use and creating paper iPads featuring Widgit symbols to represent their online experiences.
We are incredibly proud of how our pupils embraced Safer Internet Day and demonstrated thoughtful, responsible attitudes towards being safe online. 🌟
