Macmillan Cake sale

Every year at Underley Garden School we host a Macmillan Coffee morning to help raise money for the charity. Macmillan cancer support offers emotional and physical support for people affected by cancer as well as advocate for better cancer care.

This week pupils throughout school have attended assemblies which have looked at the importance of Macmillan and what they do within the charity. Our young people have enjoyed learning all about Macmillan and baking cakes ready for the coffee morning!

Each class within the school baked a different cake or traybake to sell at the coffee morning. Our young people then brought in money and had the chance to buy a sweet treat to enjoy. They then sat and socialised with peers and staff members.

The coffee morning was a huge success and raised £115.43 for Macmillan cancer support!
