We have been learning all about how to be aware of our mental health and the benefits we feel after we take that time out to focus and keep our minds healthy.
Every class has been practising mindfulness, deep breathing, yoga and meditation as well as dance and aerobics, spending time in the gym on the equipment, exploring ways to challenge ourselves positivity, learning the importance of getting our heart rate up and our bodies moving.

In and around the school there has been different assemblies focussing on the importance of recognising our mental health and things we can do to make sure we feel good about ourselves. Mental health is important at every age, but we may need to change the ways we look after it as we grow up. We also talked about the link between mental health and physical health and the importance of balancing them both so we can become the best we can be.
In our class groups we discussed emotional, psychological, and social well-being, and how it affects us daily through our actions, through social media, through our friend groups and our experiences which will affect how we feel and how we think. We explored this more and spoke about handling stress and making healthy choices.
A great awareness was shown throughout the different school buildings, with a great attitude to improving mental health and knowledge of who can help us if we feel not so great!
