Home News & Events Underley’s Halloween Spookfest
Underley ended the half term with a bang, various Halloween activities were enjoyed throughout all school areas which added to the half term excitement. Pupils dressed up in a variety of costumes including dinosaurs, ghosts, witches and wizards.
The Quad area decided to have a Halloween party extravaganza. All pupils were thrilled to participate in a selection of Halloween games and competitions. These included Flynn’s Friday Halloween quiz, a ‘bite the doughnut from the string’ competition, wrap the teacher up as a mummy competition, musical chairs, musical statues, a Halloween disco and some ghoulish Halloween themed snacks to finish off the fun filled morning. In the words of Kyle, “It was really amazing!”
Holly Trees also enjoyed a very spooky scary day! Everyone loved dancing at Hayley’s Halloween dance club as well as enjoying Katie and Stew’s spooky stories.
Orchard building also had a super spooky day engaging with various activities that covered their personalised targets. These activities included Halloween arts and crafts and hand prints, creating spooky bookmarks, cooking up little potions in our cauldrons, visiting the café to try spooky new foods like pumpkin soup and pumpkin cakes. They also made their own trick or treat bags all ready for trick or treating. There was lots of spooky messy play and music to listen to throughout the day.
All the pupils took part in the Halloween clues hunt, going to different areas around the school and saying “trick or treat” with some young people using PECS cards, buttons, IPAD clickers, spoken language, positive vocalisations to gain tasty treats.
Happy Halloween Everyone!!
