On Friday 23rd April, 2021, Underley welcomed Stuart and Jenny Stott from the South Lakes Retired Greyhounds Trust. Following on from their visit, in the Autumn Term, we have been lucky enough to set up a work experience link with them.
Ethan and Lauren did some voluntary work there. They stroked the dogs, checked their microchips and brushed them. Ethan and Lauren were able to meet their learning outcomes from the CDI framework to challenge themselves and try new things on top of meeting Gatsby Benchmarks 5- encounters with employers and 6- experiences with workplaces. We are so grateful to have this wonderful opportunity to work with the greyhounds.
