Throughout the school for Valentine’s Day this year all classes have been working hard at sharing the love in a variety of ways to spread a bit of happiness across the school and home to their families in such uncertain times. Being hit with COVID has affected everyone in a variety of way and has kept staff and young people apart from their loved ones and peers, so valentines day this year has been extra special to everyone being able to use valentines day to create and make different things for loved ones and peers to lift spirits. Some classes have painted pebbles and attached compliments which are all being displayed at orchard site and other classes have taken the opportunity to write compliments about each other and place these on the compliment tree in the assembly room. Getting the young people to compliment each other has been a great way to make them feel good about themselves and lift their spirits in the classroom. Other classes have been creating cards to send home to families and loved ones, and making love heart shaped sun catchers.
