Children’s Mental Health Week 2022

This year’s theme was Growing Together. To raise awareness about Children’s Mental Health, we encouraged children (and adults) to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow.

We spent time focussing and discussing mental health and how we can support ourselves and others. Different activities have taken place around school linking mental health into different lessons such as Maths, English and PSHE. Some of our young people wrote a letter to their younger self, others discussed what mental health is and how we can notice it in ourselves. One class focussed on what helps us when we feel stressed, upset or angry and completed a survey around school asking other young people what they do to support themselves. We had a very busy week doing lots of different activities and making sure we knew how we can look after our mental health now and as we grow into adults.
