Salary:                 £30,000 – £38,000 per annum

This is an exciting, new opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Underley Garden’s School, based in Kirkby Lonsdale.  An ideal opportunity for those who would be excited by creating a nationally important resource with the substantial backing of a leading provider of education and care for children, young people, and adults with complex needs.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting a team of school-based Occupational therapists.  You will provide a specialist occupational therapy service to children and young people with autism and learning difficulties, undertake assessments of students with diverse presentations to identify their individual sensory, physical, social and environmental needs.  You will support the development and delivery of individualised intervention programmes to help learning and to enable meaningful engagement and participation in activities, social interaction and relationships. You will model standards of best practice and the principles of Clinical Governance within your professional activities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with occupational therapy colleagues and have regular supervision and CPD opportunities.

You will work closely with our specialist in house clinical team which comprises of Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dance and Movement Therapists, Counsellors, Music Therapist and Psychotherapists.

Relocation package may be available to the right candidate.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist.  Someone with a holistic and integrated approach to care, education and clinical services would be perfect for this role.  Active HCPC registration and experience of working with children and young people with autism is essential.  Travel between sites is necessary so being able to drive is desirable.
