Benefits

Your health and wellbeing are important to us, so you’ll get an exceptional reward package including:

  • 255 hours’ annual leave allowance, which equates to 6 weeks. This increases following two years’ service to 298 hours which equates to 7 weeks. You are also entitled to an additional days holiday for ‘one moment in time’ to celebrate a special occasion.
  • For night care workers, we also pay an ‘unsociable hours allowance’.
  • For all staff we are introducing a green initiative from September where we provide a financial incentive to car share. So we are paying mileage one week in every four for all those staff who live more than 10 miles from UGS. If these staff then participate in the car share programme with 3 other people this in effect makes their journeys to and from work free.
  • Free local gym membership
  • Employee of the month vouchers
  • Bank holiday bonus pay (£50 per bank holiday worked)
  • Pension scheme with options to increase your contributions
  • “Your Wellbeing Matters” – access to a wide range of first-class mental health support services and physical health checks.

And a market-leading benefit offering through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, enables you to choose the package that’s right for you, including:

  • A wide range of health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
